Luke embarked on his traffic management journey as a TMP designer following the Christchurch earthquakes, swiftly showcasing his talents and joining the SCIRT team. Subsequently, he collaborated with the Christchurch City Council and Waka Kotahi before commencing contracting work in 2019. In 2020, Luke founded Qualis, extending his expertise to a broader audience.

Luke's passion resides in the technical nuances of traffic management. Luke's diverse project portfolio includes serving as the approving engineer on the Hamilton City Express and working with Waka Kotahi as a national Subject Matter Expert and Auditor.

A Ehmmm I remember using ‘Right, Down, Triangle’ in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1 to have Chad Muska do the One Footed 5-0 Thumpin’, so that or maybe ‘howdoyouturnthison’ from Age of Empires 2, which would spawn a car that shoots all my enemies… I guess it just depends on my mood!

Q Have you ever broken your friend’s bone in the past?

A Yes. I broke their ankle executing what can only be described as a textbook slide tackle in a recent game of football… this ‘friend’/acquaintance/team member got in the way and unfortunately sat out the rest of the season.

Prior to her current role, Kaylie coordinated generic approval for utility operators and managed Submitica applications, providing her with a profound understanding of the industry and an ease in tackling intricate projects.

Lauren joins the team boasting over 10 years’ experience in administration and business management, 5 of those years as the owner/operator of a successful NZ wine company.

At Qualis, Lauren has become the offices’ go-to person. Her exceptional organisational skills and thorough attention to detail provides vital support to colleagues and seamless management of office administration.

A Nulkaba, NSW. Australia. I’ve witnessed a living Tasmanian Tiger running through my backyard, circa 1999. The Tasmanian Tiger is believed to have been extinct since 1936.

A Rocket Cinquantotto Espresso Machine

Brooke Kirkham-Jones

Brooke joins the team as a junior designer after diving into the world of TTM 3 years ago. Brooke has the critical knowledge of practical TTM, developed during her previous role as an STMS. Brooke’s firsthand practical experience provides a perspective that is considerate to the needs of construction crews, traffic management staff and the public. We’re excited to see Brooke’s planning and design skills develop to complement her on-site experience.
